I don't need to introduce myself (#122).
Let your character speak for you, you don't need to brag about yourself.
Your good deeds shall always be your mouthpiece.
Today's story is short but very educative about how our past, present is very important to our future.
Wellington is a very big and populated community in the capital city of Sierra Leone (Freetown).
There was a time when two guys aspire to the position of honourable members of parliament.
Mr Kelo was just an average man, but he was so humble.
Even when he was in his early youth age, he had time to take part in every community service.
According to him, he never gets the intention of being a politician.
He just likes to help and see things go well in the community.
There was this other man (Mr Conteh) who came from a rich home, who was intent all his life to become politician.
But he has a very big problem, his manner of approach to others either old or young.
It was time for the election both of them aspire for the same position.
During campaign time, Mr Conteh is using the power of money.
While Mr Kelo is using his past and present relationships with everyone in the community for the campaign.
Both aspire to the same symbol, from the same political party.
They were over 10 candidates aspiring to just one symbol, but two of them were their favourite people.
It is time for the chairman and leader of the party to ask the candidates to talk to the public.
Just after they give the green light for them to speak.
Mr Conteh wanted to go first, but the crowd did not allow him to speak.
The chairman and leader tried to stop the people, but they never stopped until he was asked to sit down.
Let Mr Kelo speak because he is the one we want to lead the community.
That is the time I understand that not everything money can do.
Mr Kelo didn't introduce himself at the meetings, but his hard work and good character speak for him.
Be humble, because pride will never take you anywhere in this world.
Wait for people to introduce you, never rush to introduce yourself.
